Privacy Policy

Bravo (“Bravo,” “we,” “us”) is a voice-first assistant for your calendar, operated by Matthew Garcia, an individual based in Anaheim, California. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the control you keep over it.
The short version: your Google Calendar stays the source of truth. We read and write your events to do what you ask, but we don’t hoard a copy of your calendar, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t run ads. We store the bare minimum needed to run the service.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to provide Bravo:
- Account & identity. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image through Google’s official OAuth sign-in. We never see, store, or handle your Google password.
- Google Calendar data. With your permission, Bravo reads and writes events on your Google Calendar (titles, times, descriptions, attendees, colors, and recurrence) so it can create, move, and reschedule them at your request.
- Your preferences.A small set of settings that Google can’t store on your behalf — such as scheduling preferences and defaults — kept so Bravo behaves the way you like.
- Voice & command input. When you speak to Bravo, your audio is streamed for real-time transcription and understanding. When you type a command, that text is processed the same way. This input is used to carry out your request; see “How we share information” below.
- Billing information. If you subscribe to Pro, payments are handled by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer and subscription identifier and your plan status — we never receive or store your full card number.
- Usage & diagnostics.Basic operational data such as how much voice time and how many commands you’ve used (to enforce plan limits) and standard logs needed to keep the service running and secure.
2. How we use your information
- To carry out your requests — creating, moving, rescheduling, and reading calendar events.
- To understand your voice and typed commands and respond in real time.
- To operate your account, enforce plan limits, and process subscription billing.
- To keep Bravo secure, debug problems, and prevent abuse.
- To communicate with you about your account or important service changes.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your calendar content or voice input to serve advertising.
3. Google user data
Bravo’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We access your Google Calendar only to provide and improve the user-facing calendar features you request.
- We do not transfer or sell Google user data to third parties for advertising, marketing, or other unrelated purposes.
- We do not use Google user data to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
- Humans do not read your Google Calendar data except where you give explicit permission (e.g. support), where it is necessary for security or to comply with the law, or in aggregated/anonymized form.
Google Calendar remains the authoritative record of your schedule. Bravo reads and writes events but does not keep a mirror copy of your calendar.
4. How we share information
We share data only with the service providers that make Bravo work. Each processes data on our behalf under their own terms:
- Google — sign-in and Calendar access.
- Clerk — authentication and session management.
- Stripe — subscription payments and billing.
- Deepgram — real-time speech-to-text and text-to-speech for voice sessions.
- OpenAI — understanding your voice commands and deciding the right calendar action.
- Anthropic — understanding your typed commands.
- Neon — hosting our application database.
- DigitalOcean — hosting the application itself.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or in connection with a business transfer (in which case this policy continues to apply).
5. Data retention
We keep your account and preference data for as long as your account is active. Voice and command input is processed to fulfill your request and is not retained by Bravo as a permanent transcript of your calendar. When you delete your account, we delete your associated account and preference data; residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
6. Your choices and control
- Revoke access anytime. You can disconnect Bravo from your Google Account at any time via Google Account → Security → Third-party access. This immediately cuts off Bravo’s access to your calendar.
- Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account. If you have any trouble, email us at [email protected].
- Cancel billing. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting us.
7. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of that information, and to correct inaccurate information. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
8. Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), OAuth-based sign-in so we never handle your password, scoped access limited to your calendar, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit what we collect in the first place.
9. Children's privacy
Bravo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
